People from 7tutorials performed a battery test to find out which browser consumes more battery in laptops or Netbooks. They ran the benchmark test on half years old laptop HP Pavillion dv7 2185dx with 2.00 GHz processing speed and 6 GB DDR2 Ram.

Tests were made with a clean installations of Windows with no any software installed besides browsers. But Windows Updates were installed and PowerSaver mode was activated. Benchmark software used was Peacekeeper battery test.
Results

I usually use Chrome because of it’s responsiveness. For me the results were least expected. As you can see Internet Explorer 10 heads the list followed by Opera 11.62, IE 9, Firefox and finally Chrome 18.
